First Visit Board of Directors PTBA to BACT in Tarahan Port

Board of Directors of PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. (PTBA) in the period from 2016 to 2021 did his first visit to Tarahan Port, exactly Bukit Asam Coal Terminal (Bact) on May 4, 2016.

During the visit, Board of Directors PTBA meet and introduce themselves to more than 200 employees of BACT. BACT employees represented by the General Manager BACT Wibisono also provide information about the various things that have been achieved by BACT.

The Board of Directors of the PTBA then provide direction on the performance to be achieved BACT as Business Unit Distribution (BUD) together with Tanjung Enim Mining Unit (UPTE) as a Business Unit of Production (BUP). BACT should be able to improve cost efficiency, so that the level of the company's margins can be maintained in the midst of global coal prices are not improving.

Some employees BACT also had the opportunity to conduct hearings with the Board of Directors PTBA. Before completing the visit, the new Board of Directors of the leading coal mining company in Indonesia is conducted field inspections, reviewing a variety of major equipment such as Rotary Car Dumper (RCD) and shiploader.

As known, BACT is one of the strategic projects PTBA unveiled by Transport Minister Ignatius Jonan in June 2015 ago. BACT is part of the increased capacity of Tarahan Port, from 13 million tons to 25 million tons per year. BACT existence makes Tarahan Port as the port with berthing capacity of the largest in Indonesia.
