Jakarta, May 8, 2024 – PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Group Holding, had its 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) in Jakarta on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. At this AGMS, shareholders approved the distribution of 75% of the Company's 2023 net profit of Rp4.6 trillion in dividends.PTBA generated Rp38.5 trillion in revenue during the fiscal year 2023, resulting in Rp6.1 trillion net profit. This positive achievement is the result of the company's ongoing efforts to improve operational performance in 2023.
PTBA's total coal production and purchases from January to December 2023 totaled 41.9 million tons, a 13% increase over 2022's 37.1 million tons. This production achievement was successful in exceeding the target of 41.0 million tons set at the start of 2023. This increase in production was followed by an increase in coal sales volume to 37.0 million tons, up 17% from the previous year.
The company reported export sales of 15.6 million tons, a 25% increase from 2022. Meanwhile, domestic sales were recorded at 21.4 million tons, up 12% year on year.
Furthermore, as of December 31, 2023, the company's total assets stood at IDR 38.8 trillion. This becomes capital for the company, allowing it to continue operating in a sustainable manner.
Arsal Ismail, PTBA President Director, stated that the attainment of business operational performance in 2023 can be sustained on a positive trend. Global and national economic challenges can be addressed by implementing appropriate business strategies that enable more sustainable performance expansion.
"We are grateful that the performance results for the 2023 financial year stay on a positive trend, allowing us to support the creation of better added value in the Indonesian mining industry," he said.
At this AGMS, shareholders approved the distribution of 75% of the Company's 2023 net profit of Rp4.6 trillion in dividends. Meanwhile, 25% of the company's net profit in 2023 of Rp1.5 trillion will be retained earnings for future operational business development.
