PT Bukit Asam Tbk has been certified as ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 from PT TUV SUD Indonesia. The certificate was symbolically handed over at the Bukit Asam representative office in Jakarta by President Director of PT TUV SUD Indonesia, Mr. Eric Paulsen to Mr. Arviyan Arifin as President Director of Bukit Asam (5/12). The success of Bukit Asam to get ISO and OHSAS certification is inseparable from the commitment of the Bukit Asam Management Unit in implementing the Quality, Environmental and K3 Management System consistently in Bukit Asam environment. This certification is nothing new for Bukit Asam. ISO 9001 certificate is the 7th certificate, ISO 14001 is the 5th certificate, and OHSAS 18001 is the 4th certificate obtained by Bukit Asam. This becomes an acknowledgment that Bukit Asam is consistent with international standards in the implementation of Quality, Environmental and OHS Management Systems. The certification obtained is a renewal of ISO and OHSAS certificates in the previous period. After the expiration of the previous certification period, Bukit Asam conducts an open auction through the Procurement Unit to determine the certification agency which will conduct an assessment of the implementation of the ISO and OHSAS standards implemented by Bukit Asam. The certification agency appointed as the winner of the procurement process is PT TUV SUD Indonesia. The certification agency commenced the audit and assessment process from August 2017 to November 2017. The ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 certification audits were conducted in 18 Work Units, namely 15 units at the Tanjung Enim Mining Unit (UPTE), Tarahan Port, Kertapati Port, and Marketing. The results of the renewal audit are no major findings. All minor findings have also been followed up and submitted the evidence and verified by PT TUV SUD. Implementation of ISO 9001: 2015 (updated from version 2008), ISO 14001: 2015 (updated from 2004 version), and OHSAS 18001: 2007 obtained by PT Bukit Asam Tbk is one form of GCG implementation and answers to the commitment to ensure the implementation of business processes in Bukit Asam is in accordance with the best quality standard practice in the field of environmental management, as well as protection for the safety and health of all employees of the company. ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015, and OHSAS 18001: 2007 certification obtained by Bukit Asam proves that the company is always ready for dynamic changes. Through this certification, it is expected that the implementation of the system will be implemented in a serious, developed, and adjusted periodically to a better direction according to changes in business management in the company. Implementation of the system in full and responsible is expected to be a supporter in managing the company's business to achieve performance excellence targets in harmony with the company's vision.
