Bukit Asam shows real contribution to the the community around the company's operational area by asphalting 4,754 km of roads in Tanjung Enim.

As the supervisor of the work as well as Bukit Asam Management representative, the Manager of Building and Utilities Maintenance, M Husni Thamrin, said that this road paving activity is to provide comfort and safety for road users in the Bukit Asam Tanjung Enim office area.

Sourced from Bukit Asam's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds with the value of IDR7,226,450,000, the 6 centimeters (cm) thick asphalting is surfaced on Jalan PJKA, Jalan Pasar Bawah, the road to the PTBA Office Area, Jalan SD & SMP Bukit Asam, Jalan Brangau, Balitas & WTP Office, Jalan Gereja Atas, Jalan Pasar Bawah, and Jalan Arah Menuju Talang Jawa. The road width is adjusting to the existing road and type of asphalt used is Asphalt Concrete - Binder Course (AC-BC).

Husni expressed his hope that the asphalting of this road could support the activities and economy of the community, also support the operations of the Tanjung Enim Bukit Asam office smoothly.

"And of course this asphalting is expected to increase the comfort and safety of road users from the risk of accidents," said Husni.

Meanwhile, Head of Lawang Kidul Sub-district, Andrille Martin, on behalf of the Muara Enim Regency Government, appreciated the paving road. "Hopefully our community will continue to synergize with Bukit Asam and support its success, Amin," he said.

Hendro Aldo, local community representative, also expressed his gratitude to Bukit Asam with this road paving. "Because the road is an important access in supporting the daily activities of our residents, especially for work," he said.
