JAKARTA - The lethargy of coal business in this past year did not deter PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA)’s expansion. Currently, PTBA will invest more than 2.5 trillion for the completion of additional capacity on coal port in Lampung and Palembang and also working on several projects of steam power plants (PLTU)
This was revealed by the CEO of PTBA, Milawarma. PTBA Expansion is not limited to the addition of coal port capacity, but also in working on several projects of 2x8 Megawatt (MW) steam power plant to support the electricity needs in Tarahan port, Lampung.
He added, other power plant projects include mine-mouth in Tanjung Enim with 3x10 MW capacity. And the biggest is 2x100 MW steam power plant project in Banko Tengah, Lahat Regency.
